What is a Saeco Odea Go?

The Odea Go is part of a new line recently released by Saeco, a world leader in the espresso industry. The Go is Saeco’s basic model, yet while it is on the lower end of the price scale for super-automatic Espresso machines, it still carries a rather large price tag.

Styled in black and silver, the Go is medium-large, measuring 11-1/2 inches wide by 15-1/2 inches deep by 14-7/10 inches high. Its rounded edges may give it a somewhat compact appearance, but that is mainly an illusion. As with other super-automatic machines, the Go has a built-in bean grinder, which dispenses the optimum amount of grounds into an internal filter, then tamps the grounds and uses premium pump-pressure brewing to prepare an aromatic cup of dark espresso coffee with a rich layer of foamy crema on top.

The Odea Go also has a powerful jet frothing wand called the Pannarello frothing device that dispenses steam and hot water. We loved the long, curved design of the wand, which tilts up and down for easy insertion and removal from the milk pitcher. What’s more, the wand delivers an abundant amount of steam at an extremely fast rate to produce beautiful frothed milk in seconds.

Elegant styling and a variety of brewing options make the Saeco Odea Go a great choice for espresso, cappuccino, and latte-lovers that want the convenience of a super automatic machine. Attractive black and silver housing, an adjustable drip tray, and a translucent bean hopper all add to the Odea Go’s modern good looks, but just because this machine has a futuristic design doesn’t mean it’s difficult to use. A straightforward knob lets you control exactly how much coffee is dispensed into your cup, from a short espresso shot to a long coffee. You can also easily adjust the ceramic burr grinder setting from fine, medium, to coarse using the grinder adjustment key.

It’s easy to create delicious cappuccinos, lattes, and other café-style drinks on the Odea Go thanks to the Pannarello attachment on the steam wand. This attachment helps to evenly disperse steam in your frothing pitcher, letting you make drink after drink for you and your guests. The steam wand also dispenses hot water when you want to make your favorite tea. A removable drip tray, dump box, and brew group make it easy to maintain the Odea Go, so clean-up is always a snap.

With the Saeco Odea Go, you have the ability to make almost any drink every espresso-based drink found at your local cafe. Cappuccinos, café lattes, straight espresso shots or even rich Americanos can now be made in the comfort of your home. Brewing is as easy as turning a knob, and steaming is made easy with the Pannarello attachment on the steam wand. Just let the Odea Go take care of the rest.

Many people ask us to compare the Odea Go and the Saeco Odea Giro, The Odea Giro is similar, but has two features not found on the Odea Go: Saeco Rapid Steam and OptiDose. The Odea Giro is ready to steam milk immediately after brewing; the Odea Go requires about 20 seconds to adjust the temperature. In addition, the amount of coffee ground on the Odea Giro can be adjusted to between 7 and 10 grams, The Odea Go always grinds 7 grams of coffee.
